The Town of Rockland is thrilled to announce our Sesquicentennial anniversary! This year-long celebration commemorates the incorporation of Rockland on March 9, 1874, and will serve as a tribute to the Town's rich history, vibrant present, and promising future. As a small town with a big heart, we look forward to showcasing the best of Rockland!
The Town is proud to commemorate the individuals and groups who have played a significant role in shaping its history. The 150th Celebration aims to ignite excitement about the Town's diverse offerings and encourage community engagement. Join us as we celebrate this milestone and continue to uphold our strong community pride.
PIECES OF ROCKLAND PROJECT
As part of Rockland’s 150th Anniversary Celebration, the town invites Rockland artists and designers to participate in “Pieces of Rockland,” a collaborative mural project about our Town. Each artist will be tasked with the job of creating original artwork about the Town of Rockland on an individual puzzle piece. Once completed, all of the pieces will be put together to create a moving mural to be showcased throughout the Town. The chosen artists will have their work displayed for all to enjoy. We invite people of all ages to participate in this project as we celebrate 150 years!
