On July 13, 1978,
Irving abducted a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint while she was riding her bicycle in
Cohasset and raped her repeatedly. In 1979 Irving was found guilty of all charges
following a lengthy investigation by the Cohasset Police Department. The judge delayed
sentencing, allowing Irving the opportunity to flee.
Gary Irvings last known address was 241 Myrtle St. Rockland, MA. He was convicted of
aggravated rape in 1979 and sentenced to state prison. Irving fled before he was to begin
